Tine Rasmussen did it again – beat a higher ranked player in Yonex Japan Open. This time the bottom seed Xie Xingfang, China, had to bow to the dane 21-15, 21-17. Tine dominated the first game, while Xie Xingfang lead most of the 2. game – until 17-17. Then Tine Rasmussen scored 4 in a row and wins her first Super Series title ever.

After yesterdays surprise victory over world ranking number 1, Tine Rasmussen, Denmark, coached by Morten Frost (both seen left), today beat another chinese player, 7. seed Lu Lan. This time Tine had it much easier, needing only 2 games to secure a final spot – 21-19, 21-9.
Danish number one, Tine Rasmussen, has had a fantastic tourmanent so far and friday she topped it, by beating top seed Zhang Ning, China, in three grueling games. After leading most of the 3 game, Tine Rasmussens lead was diminishing as the chinese got the 2. wind. But the dane stood the presure – 21-13, 16-21, 21-18.
After a period of injuries, Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Thomas Leybourn, Denmark, returns to upset the other top players. In the 2. round of Yonex Japan Open, the danes beat Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen, China – seeded 3 – by 21-16, 17-21, 21-18.
