Peter Gade regained the Masters title in Mens Singles, beating Kenneth Jonassen (left) 21-16, 21-19. Kenneth Jonassen did control most of the 2. game, but a strong finish from Peter Gade cut the match short.
The Players of the Year 2006 is another Doubles – Mens Doubles. It was no surprise when the votes where tallied and Jens Eriksen and Martin Lundgaard was selected. They have had a fantastic year. A few weeks ago Jens Eriksen decided to continue until after Beijing 2008, despite a relativ old age of 37, and it is only fitting, that he today became the first player to receive the honour twice.
For the first time a chinese Mens Doubles has won the Copenhagen Masters. Fu Haifeng and Cai Yun never let the young talents from Indonesia, Joko Riyadi and Hendra Gunawan get into the game. The chinese won 21-11, 21-15.
