Jens Eriksen, Japan Open 2006Jens Eriksen (left) is the “grand old man” in todays danish badminton elite, and thursday he taught everybody a lesson. Not only did he keep his seeds with Martin Lundgaard, but with temporary partner Lena Frier Kristiansen he created an upset in Mixed Double!

She and some of the other danes had tough games, while others, like Peter Gade, sailed through.

Japanes girls interviewedWhen the 2006 Yonex Japan Open Tournament started tuesday, it was with an unusually large group of danish players on the starting list. The team has 14 players. (It is, however, 2 local players who answers questions from local press in the hall on the small picture on the left.)
