WBSO: It’s a Live!
Thursday, March 15th, 2007
Badminton fans with a lot of internet bandwith (broadband connection) and not being near St. Jakobshalle in Basel, can enjoy a direct live video stream (screenshot left). Wednesday to Friday access is free, even though it is “only” a fixed camera pointing at each of the courts. The resolution is not great though, so I recommend that you start the Tournment Software live score in another window to better follow who is who. But you may want to know, that the results are slightly ahead (10 – 20 seconds in time) of the stream.

Petya Nedelcheva, Bulgaria, met Xie Xingfang, China (left) in one of the Womens 1/2-finals saturday, and the chinese won as expected, 21-6, 21-9. Homegirl Xu Huaiwen won the other semifinal against Pi Hongyan, France.
Julian Schenk, Germany, (left) started out strong, and did take one game away from Xie Xingfang, China, in one of the long Womens Singles matches of today. Germanys bottom seed, Xu Huaiwen was the only representation of the host country, when the 1/4-finals was played today.
